Super Easy to make at-home Classic Club Sandwiches

Classic club sandwiches are super easy to make at home! Toasted buttered sandwich bread, with ham, fresh tomato slices, lettuce, bacon and egg salad. Simply delicious! You can even put it in your bento box for lunch.

Club sandwiches remind me of my younger age when my parents would bring me to a clubhouse after the piano lesson, and this was what I usually ordered, and a cup of Iced tea. I remember they would serve it with fries but some restaurants would serve it with potato chips.

When I first started dating Mr. 5, we had spent lots of time in the clubhouse. we love to go swimming and sunbathing there; a perfect afternoon was a club sandwich and a few drinks. OMG, this was decades ago now when I think about it. XD

I still enjoy club sandwiches, but now I would rather make them myself at home. This is such a delicious deli classic, and super simple to make, I can’t wait to share my recipe with y’all!

What are classic club sandwiches?

A club sandwich, also called a clubhouse sandwich, is a sandwich of toasted bread, sliced cooked turkey, ham or fried bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. A signature feature of a club sandwich is using three pieces of bread – with one slice used as a separator in the middle. It is often cut into quarters or halves and held together by cocktail sticks.

It is an American classic, often served in delis, country clubs and other restaurants often accompanied by potato chips or potato salad.

My version is modified to my liking, I love egg salads/tuna salad in my club sandwich.
